Reality Was Ancient

Never mistake the poverty of human understanding for the poverty of existence. The boundaries of our knowledge have never been the boundaries of reality.

By MoAfrika Skotch Ntilane · 14 October 2026

Reality was ancient before human intelligence learned to pronounce its own existence. Gravity needed no witnesses to pull, light needed no scientists to shine, and the universe buried its mysteries in eternity long before mankind developed the arrogance to call the undiscovered impossible. Never mistake the poverty of human understanding for the poverty of existence. The boundaries of our knowledge have never been the boundaries of reality. Ignorance becomes dangerous the moment it mistakes its own blindness for proof that nothing exists beyond the dark.

Question everything, including the beliefs that comfort you and the evidence you worship. Be courageous enough to explore what cannot yet be explained, but disciplined enough not to crown imagination as truth. For history is littered with the intellectual graves of men who mistook their limited understanding for absolute wisdom. And perhaps the most haunting tragedy of human existence is that we may die defending our certainty, only to discover that the greatest truths were standing before us all along, patiently watching us mistake our inability to see for their inability to exist.
